Fair point: the stainless steel counterweight is what does the damping, and it is dense by design — the full stabilizer runs 314.2 g to 346.7 g depending on length. That counterweight, built-in damping ball included, is detachable, so you can strip the mass off until the balance feels right; our setup guide covers how, and this explainer covers why the mass is there in the first place.

"Great piece" (E***A, BR) — two words, four stars, no explanation given. It is the only non-five-star rating so far, and we display it with its real star count above.
